Summer Read 1: Life and Food

If you were to have walked over to the pool last night, you would have found me completely engrossed in the last few pages of this delectable book. I was warned that the writing is "crass" and I have found that this is true and is exactly why I enjoyed it so much. Although she admits in the intro that she sometimes made stuff up, the sheer honesty of her writing is intriguing and so relatable as she says exactly what she thinks without regard to how others view her. I love that she so many times admits, "this is how it should be but this is how I will do it". And from this take I think that is why she so honestly enjoys life and carries such a terrific view of her husband and her food. And that is inspiring.
